We are honored to announce that Ukraine is joining the global initiative “Finance Code for Women Entrepreneurs” (WE Finance Code). With the support and leadership of the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture, and the National Bank of Ukraine, the implementation of the WE Finance Code in Ukraine has been launched. The initiative is open for participation.
We are pleased to invite you to the introductory WE Finance Code webinar, where you will learn more about the initiative and the next steps for joining it.
The event is co-organized by the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine, the National Bank of Ukraine, and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Event partners include the National Association of Banks of Ukraine, the Association of Ukrainian Banks, and the National Association of Credit Unions of Ukraine.
Participation in the event is free and by invitation only. Please delegate up to two representatives from your credit union to attend the webinar. The program is attached.
About WE Finance Code
The WE Finance Code is a global multilateral initiative aimed at systematically expanding support and financing opportunities for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises led by women (W-MSMEs), fostering their growth and enhancing their contribution to economic development and resilience.
The initiative brings together financial service providers, regulators, associations, and other participants in the financial ecosystem who voluntarily commit to act jointly to expand access to finance for women-led businesses.
Currently, the WE Finance Code is being implemented in more than 30 countries worldwide, and Ukraine announced the start of its implementation during the Ukraine Recovery Conference in 2025. More information about the WE Finance Code can be found here: https://we-fi.org/we-finance-code
