The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) is the main representative organization for credit unions worldwide. Founded in 1971, its headquarters are located in Madison, Wisconsin, USA. WOCCU includes organizations from 103 countries around the world. Its members are regional and national credit union associations representing over 57,000 credit unions. In total, they unite 208 million members. The combined assets of WOCCU member credit unions exceed 1.7 trillion US dollars.
The highest governing body of WOCCU is the Board of Directors, which consists of 15 members.
Since 1995, Ukraine has been represented in WOCCU by the Ukrainian National Association of Savings and Credit Unions.
